Week three of the one room challenge saw another free change in the form of paint. The ceiling, walls, and trim all got a few coats of paint, and combined with the painted vanity and hardware, the room is starting to come together!!
I’m back this week with progress in our blank slate of a powder room. My goal for week 2 of the one room challenge was to paint the vanity cabinets and hardware, towel and toilet paper holders, and doorknobs. Today I’m sharing my (Free!) DIY vanity update.
With a little bit of paint and perseverance – and $75 – I’m tackling a long-overdue DIY powder room update! My goal is to completely transform our 1980s downstairs bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling makeover during this fall’s One Room Challenge.
Wow! Week 6 of the One Room Challenge is here! I can’t tell you how excited I am about the condition of this room. Since we moved into our house in 2009, it has seen various stages of mess and progress, but only in the past 6 weeks have the most major changes taken place. Wow, Week 5 got here fast! That means there’s only one more week left before I finally finish up this nearly two-year long project! To catch up anyone who’s new, I’m in the final stretch of transforming a space that used to be a hoarder’s dream into a useable office space. This week’s focus has been on two areas: Decluttering and Organizing. The room both looks and feels very different after this week’s effort, and I’m pleased with the amount of things I’ve gotten rid of and the more organized look of the shelves.
