throughout the month of September, i’m tackling my to-do list. I’ll check off 30 items that have been on the to-do list for way too long. From boring things like paint touch-ups and fixing broken drawers to bigger, more exciting projects like finishing up our bedroom and a $200 master bathroom refresh, I am getting stuff done in September!
Our good friends’ little girl turned five this year. Instead of a having birthday party, they celebrated with a trip to the American Girl store. She thoroughly enjoyed her visit there, which included a tea party with her new doll.
Since there was no party this year – and therefore no cake to be baked by yours truly – I decided that I would make a gift related to her doll. I searched for ideas on Pinterest, and of course I found an overwhelming number of options that made me wish I was 8 again and in the prime of my doll enjoyment years. The idea that I liked best and thought would be quite useful for corralling all the doll’s shoes, brushes, and clothing was a portable clothes rack.
Hello and happy Harry Potter’s birthday! This month really flew by and I can’t believe that August will begin tomorrow. July was full of vacations and family time, but it’s back to the real world, and I’m excited to share a quick and easy little project that can add a lot of personality to any room. I’ve been meaning to share it for about two months now, but when they go by as fast as July did, it’s hard to keep up!
