Vintage Bow Skirt Refashion
I found this vintage linen skirt for either $.50 or $1.00 at a thrift shop last month. I noticed it was a good quality (though a bit old) and pretty much knew immediately what I wanted to do with it when I saw it….but didn’t know until AFTER I paid $9.00 to have dry cleaned whether or not it would fit (there was no way I was trying it on before I had it cleaned!). Turns out, it did fit! Darn good thing, after the dry cleaning bill turned out to be so high!!

Singer Sewing Machine Shelf and Drawers
When I saw the rusted old sewing machine base/frame as I left an antique store earlier this month, I knew I would buy it the next time I was there and crossed my fingers that no one else would have bought it in the meantime!
Removable Binder Cover
After a few months of dabbling in blogging, I realized I needed a notebook to keep up with ideas, projects, and plans.

I pass a Goodwill every day on my way home from work and have to talk myself out of stopping by pointing out to myself how many projects are on my to-do list with their materials scattered about my Yellow Room, taking up precious space and on occasion, making me feel a little crazy because I don’t know what to do next!

Boogie Shoes
Again I have been absent for longer than intended. It’s hard to slow myself down enough to stop ‘doing’ in order to write (blog) about what it is that I do. Since my last visit, we attended my cousin’s wedding, went to Atlanta for the wedding of a family friend and a Braves game, took an anniversary trip to Mexico with our friends, who were also celebrating their anniversary, and went to the beach with my extended family. Things seem to finally have slowed down enough for me to catch up!
Let Them Eat Cake, Volume 2
Well, it appears that I’ve been AWOL for a little while. It’s been busy. Here are a few cute cakes that have come out of my kitchen since the original Let Them Eat Cake post.
