In my first post on this blog, I introduced you to my re-upholstery project, the Ugly Chair. Having no experience with upholstery, and therefore no idea what I was getting myself into, I armed myself with this tutorial that I read before I began to get an idea of what I was doing, and got to work.
Before I ever tried upholstery or making iPhone accessories, I tried decorating cakes. Growing up, we used the boxed cake and icing to make fun Christmas, Easter, and Fourth of July cakes. Looking back, I realize that they were nothing spectacular, but I always enjoyed making (and eating!!) them nonetheless.

Seeing as this is my first post and nothing and no one on Earth besides Google, my dog Rocky, and I know about this blog’s creation, it would seem as though I’m talking to myself. I’ll change that when I’m ready. 🙂
I’ve been thinking for a while about creating a blog to share what I enjoy doing in my spare time – designing and creating Stuff. “Stuff” includes, but is not limited to: making cakes and jewelry, sewing, and repurposing old/vintage/antique items (some would go so far as to refer to these items as ‘junk,’ but junk is one of my best friends!).
